ABOUT ME

Christine Mejukah Weeber seeks joy and inspiration in connection to Earth and her magic. She is the author of two poetry chapbooks: In the Understory of Her Being and Sastrugi. Her poetry and prose have appeared in the Wild Roof Journal, Wild Gods: The Ecstatic in Contemporary Poetry and Prose, the Kyoto Journal, Solo: On Her Own Adventure, and other publications. In 2008, she was the poet-in-residence at the Gilpin County Public Library in Colorado.

For more information on shamanic healing and instruction, see Home Wisdom Hearth: The Fire Is Within and @MedicinefortheDance on YouTube or on Instagram.

As of 2026, she also brings a high level of editorial expertise to clients' work for Stonefly Editorial Services. She has been a professional editor for 20 years.

From 2016-2025, Christine Mejukah was the copy editor/fact-checker, the poetry editor, and a periodic development editor at SAPIENS, a digital magazine that illuminates the world of anthropology for a general audience. During her tenure, she managed the publication's ethical style guide, shaped fact-checking of anthropologist-authored pieces, developed dozens of essays, poems, and column posts, copy edited more than 1,200 pieces and fact-checked hundreds of those, and launched the poetry wing in 2020—which featured a poetry contest and four special themed poetry collections, a poet-in-residence program, and general poetry submissions. You can find her clips here.

Prior to that time, she ran Stonefly Editorial Services (which she revived in 2025), bringing editorial assistance to anthropologists, archaeologists, and scholars in the humanities and other fields. She also wrote for various publications, including the Boulder County Business Report, covering green/nontoxic businesses and organizations.
