ABOUT ME
Christine Weeber seeks joy and inspiration in connection to Earth and her magic. She is the author of two poetry chapbooks: In the Understory of Her Being and Sastrugi. Her poetry and prose have appeared in the Wild Roof Journal, Wild Gods: The Ecstatic in Contemporary Poetry and Prose, the Kyoto Journal, Solo: On Her Own Adventure, and other publications. In 2008, she was the poet-in-residence at the Gilpin County Public Library in Colorado.
Christine is the copy editor/fact-checker, the poetry editor, and a development editor at SAPIENS, a digital magazine that illuminates the world of anthropology for a general audience. In her nine-year role at the magazine, she developed the publication's style guide, shaped fact-checking of anthropologist-authored pieces, developed dozens of essays and column posts, copy edited more than a thousand pieces and fact-checked hundreds of those, and launched the poetry wing in 2020—which has included a poetry contest and four special themed poetry collections, five years of running the poet-in-residence program, and editing and publishing general poetry submissions. |
